Child Custody and Reconciliation - We have not only perfected resolution of child custody issues but to have solved it permanently while maximizing
the probability of reconciliation! In fact, for those who are interested in pursuing both at the same time, the unique methods we developed not only provide the highest level of strategy(1) for child custody and reconciliation [both w/out relying on cooperation] but progress in one actually helps in the other!
Resolving Conflict without Cooperation - We specialize in solutions that last, not short term resolutions. If we have any limitations it is w/minimal experience w/respect to cooperation. Out of over 10,000 clients less than 1% would Principles of Cooperation have any significant impact. Almost all parties who contacted “The Institute” have previously tried virtually everything possible to either work it out or to achieve their goals. Therefore in order to be helpful and have value we needed to develop our own unique principles that would work for our particular [high conflict] population of clients. We eventually developed our own principles, “Principles of Conflict”. They were the end results of years of experimenting w/ trying to resolve high conflict, and in spite of no cooperation and no communication [frequently by court order, restraining/protection…]. While we would have preferred no conflict first, minimal second, and so on, that is not the world in which we have had to face and deal with. In fact the greater the conflict the more applicable became the principles [now expressed in a formula], the easier it is to control the variables to resolve conflict and to solve them permanently.
Controlling Variables! Traditionally to address an important problem, especially as serious child custody and/or relationships that have life long implications, use of professionals would be employed. All too often, in fact most of the time, the entire matter or situation would be completely turned over to “the professional” to advocate their clients best interest’s for what most would agree, are obvious reasons. This practice of relying on professional's who spealize in areas of need of a solution has merit in some areas, advantages and disadvantages in others and out right counterproductive and even quite destructive in other areas.
* Aside from ethics and law, we do not start w/any theoretical bias or framework and try to address and solve problems from there. We work backwards! We find what works first, and then see if it is part of a pattern and lastly, does it fit within any practical framework.
2 We have now evolved beyond strategy and provide a blueprint for case development and/or road map for goal accomplishment.
